I had read all the positive and negative reviews before heading down and when all was said and done, the postive reviews are the ones that proved more true. Im not here to talk up the Xanadu, I just want to list the different aspects of this place so that tourists will know exactly what to expect from this place and not head down terrified as I was after searching this site. First of all, yes, the place was hit by hurricanes, and the view is not that great, however, the beachfront property more than makes up for it. The beach may not be filled with may people but the seclusion on this gorgeous beach is very peaceful. If your entire trip is built around playing tennis then yes, I would reccommend choosing another hotel, but I seriously doubt the tennis courts being destroyed really ruined anyones vacation. It is about 5 miles away from everything, however they offer a bus service which will take u back and fourth to the supermarkets and port lucaya, you just need to check the schedule. As far as the room goes, i did not see one bug, no flooding, and the towels were delivered every morning like clockwork. My room was beautiful, full living room, 2 bathrooms, large balcony, full kitchen. The staff could not have been any more friendly or helpful. True, the little pharmacy was closed for most of the time I was there, but when they were open they did not really have anything in there anyway, so it wasn't a big loss. Same thing goes for the restaurant in the hotel, you are better off catching the bus into port lucaya, there were 100 places to choose from to eat. If you do miss the bus taxi's do get expensive but we learned that the first 2 days and learned the bus schedule after that. My biggest problem with this hotel was the fact that we had to make our own ice due to neither of the 3 -----
